The origin story

Hello. Let me tell you how we got started.

Years ago, I decided to make an epoxy clock for my YouTube channel. Actually, because I was interested in technology for my job, I had acquired a 3D printer at the time. After working with it for a long time, I decided to do something different. That’s when I had my first experience with epoxy resin. You can find the video of that clock at this link.

At that time, I decided to give up on this project because I couldn’t handle it. It was such a contagious and messy substance that I practically epoxy-coated the entire house.

Years later, I came across a silicone chess mold. My wife and I looked at each other. She shook her head. But now we had a garden. So, I promised her I’d just hang out in the garden and bought two cans of epoxy. And I decided to make myself a chessboard.

That moment:

Of course, we didn’t get the amount of epoxy right the first time. We were left with a lot of epoxy resin. We enjoyed the experience. We started thinking, “Let’s make a spare one.” Just as we were thinking, “What if something happens to this one, let’s make another one,” we ended up with four or five chessboards.

Meanwhile, my interest in 3D printing started again. I started pouring epoxy onto the things I printed. Between coasters and table decorations, we started to accumulate seven or eight “extra” items.

So, we decided to put them online. This way, we not only made our hobby “sustainable” but also wanted to utilize the “excess” we had. We’re now creating designs and products to share through this website. Otherwise, our house will become a dumping ground 🙂

Thank you for joining us on the journey.
